We’re recruiting for a successful and growing Manchester-based insolvency practice, seeking a Trainee to join their Meeting of Creditors team.
This role is ideal for someone who already has experience working in insolvency and is looking to broaden their exposure to insolvency practices and procedures. You’ll gain hands-on experience, work with a dynamic team, and further develop your career in this specialist area.
As a trainee, you will be responsible for the efficient processing of IVA voting documentation, creditor interactions, and the formal process of approving IVAs.
You will be the final point of contact with the customer before they enter into the legally binding arrangement; as such, you will be key to upholding standards and best practices for all stakeholders.
You will be a competent communicator with sufficient expertise and skills to challenge outcomes and present alternative propositions, ensuring favourable outcomes for both creditors and our valued customers.
Your role.
- Responsible for the day-to-day administration and formal approval of IVA cases.
- Processing creditor “Proof of Debt” and “Proxy” forms and understanding the impact of modifications on IVA outcomes.
- Ability to understand voting processes.
- Using verbal and written communication skills to ensure the clients receive excellent client onboarding services. Able to effectively communicate with both internal and external stakeholders.
- Liaising with and making recommendations to creditors, debtors, and other parties to achieve a balanced and favourable IVA outcome for all.
- Inputting data accurately, being organised, and professional.
- Have a keen understanding of IVA structures and how to review a debtor’s circumstances.
- Strong administration and analytical skills with a keen eye for detail.
- Excellent telephone manner and client awareness.
- Previous experience working on IVAs is essential to the role.
- Proven ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.
- Driven to deliver against the needs of the business.
- Good understanding of MS Office applications.

Salary: £Up to £30k pa depending on experience + performance-related bonus
